This Skytech On/Off remote control system was designed to provide safe, user friendly, reliable remote control for gas heating appliances with Millivolt valve systems. If your current gas heating appliance is currently controlled by a wall switch than it is already compatible with this remote control system. With the SKY-1001-A Remote you no longer have to get up to turn on your gas fireplace on or off. Installation is a breeze with Millivolt valve systems. There are two wires that will connect to your Millivolt valves terminal block. One will be connected to the TH terminal and the other connects to the TH/TP terminal, as shown in the diagram. The remote receiver and the remote are both battery operated. The remote receiver can be placed on or near your fireplace hearth but the recommended application is wall mounted. The remotes receiver can be wall mounted in your fireplaces existing plastic box switch. A face plate is included to cover the receiver and still allow access to the control switches on the remote receiver. The remote receiver has a 3-position slide switch for selecting mode of operation. The ON position will manually turn on your appliance. The REMOTE setting allows use of the remote. The OFF setting will manually turn off your appliance and disable the remote receiver. The remote receiver and the remote are both battery operated, and batteries are included. Life expectancy of alkaline batteries in the remote and receiver is about 12 months with normal use.
